Have never stayed at the hotel. We have only used their large rooms for family events. Bartenders are always friendly and the buffet food is always decent.
We had brunch on Sunday morning. It was a breakfast buffet. There food was fresh and very tasty. It is a family favorite.
Spent 2 days here, it was a pretty standard budget motel, looking a bit worn down.The resturant offered pretty usual fare, the only outstanding thing was the wait staff in the resturant, they were always extremely accommodating and professional even when our large group ended up staying about an hour after closing time.
Rooms were pretty dated but the beds were comfy. Looked a lot nicer than we had thought for an inn. The pool and hot tub were nice with a good sized sitting/serving area next to it. Staff was super friendly as well.
We did not have a good experience. There was blood stains on the fitted sheet and pillow case; the tv didn't work and night staff couldn't help; the room was very stuffy and humid but the AC didn't work; the window locks were broken and didn't lock on ground level; my kids accidently spilled the little shampoo bottles and night staff said he had no more...? OK.The only good note... The restaurant has great food and service... Except the server kept reaching over my plate.I don't recommend it, I've stayed at 1 star private motels with better service.UPDATE: I called back as I was invited to. Wouldn't let me speak to the manager. No voicemail. Quite rude. Left a message for the manager to call back. That was 2 weeks ago. Obviously has no intention of speaking to me about our stay. Either stay at the Canalta or get a Timmies and keep driving through.
